About

Welcome to Shady Habitats.

As our landscape becomes increasingly urbanised and areas of natural open spaces for native fauna decreases, the value of gardens that are planted with native plants that provide shelter, habitat and food sources via pockets of linking biodiversity is critical to our remaining bird-life, insects, bats and remaining vertebrates that have adapted to our urbanisation.

The goal of Shady Habitats is to assist you in creating a garden at your place that grows the important layers of plant life that will attract native fauna, enhance your enjoyment of your garden and increase your opportunity to view out unique bird-life when it visits your garden.

The more gardens that embrace this environmental approach, the greater impact we will have on assisting native fauna to survive and maybe even thrive.

As the saying goes, ‘From Little Things, Big This Grow’.
